Directions to Round Top from Major Texas Cities
Central TX Map Round Top Area From Austin From Houston From San Antonio From DFW or Waco
Directions From Austin
From Austin, take Highway 290 East towards Houston, go through Elgin and Giddings, to Carmine. At Carmine, turn right off of Highway 290 onto Spur 458. Highway 237 will "Y" off of Spur 458 and you should take Highway 237 to the right. The easily recognizable Big Red Barn marquee will be on your left.
To find Highway 290 in Austin from the Austin Bergstrom Airport, turn left (west) on Highway 71 from the airport and pick-up Highway 183 North toward Lampasas. Follow the Lampasas directionals until the intersection with Highway 290. Turn right (east) on Highway 290 and follow the instructions above.

Directions From Houston
From Houston, take Highway 290 West toward Austin. You will pass through the cities of Hempstead and Brenham. Just beyond the city of Burton, turn left onto Highway 237. NOTE: This is a left-hand lane exit! Within 5 miles you will see the distinctive Big Red Barn marquee announcing your arrival.
To find Highway 290 from Houston Intercontinental Airport, follow the directionals to I-45 which will put you on Beltway 8. Once on Beltway 8, pass the I-45 exit and continue through the toll booth (the right hand lane is for cash) to Highway 290. Exit onto Highway 290 following the directionals to Austin. Once on Highway 290, follow the instructions above.
Directions From San Antonio
The shortest route (shown below) from San Antonio involves Interstate 10 East to a turnoff near Schulenburg but the directions, especially for those not familiar with the area, are somewhat complicated. If you prefer that route, please take the MapQuest link provided below and select the shortest route from San Antonio to Round Top.
For the simplest directions from the San Antonio airport, take Airport Blvd. to Loop 410. Turn left onto Loop 410 and then merge onto I-35 toward Austin. Remain on I-35 through Austin and turn onto Highway 290 East. Take Highway 290 East towards Houston, go through Elgin and Giddings, to Carmine. At Carmine, turn right off of Highway 290 onto Spur 458. Highway 237 will "Y" off of Spur 458 and you should take Highway 237 to the right. The easily recognizable Big Red Barn marquee will be on your left.

Directions From Dallas / Fort Worth / Waco
From Dallas or Fort Worth, take I-35 south to Waco. The shortest route (shown below) from Waco involves Highway 77 south through Cameron to Giddings but the directions, especially for those not familiar with the area, are somewhat complicated. If you prefer that route, please take this MapQuest link and select the shortest route from Waco to Round Top.
The simplest directions are to continue on I-35 toward Austin. Just north of central Austin turn onto Highway 290 East toward Houston, go through Elgin and Giddings, to Carmine. At Carmine, turn right off of Highway 290 onto Spur 458. Highway 237 will "Y" off of Spur 458 and you should take Highway 237 to the right. The easily recognizable Big Red Barn marquee will be on your left.
